Dr. Elaine Happ specializes in treating the condition known as Dry Eye Disease.

One of the most common clinical challenges faced in optometry is dry eye. Thanks to new technology we can now treat dry eye in ways never before available. The latest in technology is called The Tear Lab. It measures a small sample of the patient’s tears to see how “dry” they really are. Our clinic is one of the first in Minnesota to offer this advanced diagnostic evaluation.

Treatment is prescribed based on the measurements from the Tear Lab. Treatments range from Omega 3 supplements, tear replacement drops, punctal plugs, anti- inflammatory drops, oral antibiotics and prescription strength artificial tears.
