To encourage parents to bring their young children to an eye doctor, Uptown Eye Care recently participated in the annual PreK Eye Exam Day, the start of Children’s Vision and Learning Month. Uptown Eye Care was interviewed by KSTC-TV 5 Eyewitness News and Kare11 about their participation in the event.

On August 1st & August 2nd, Dr. Mary Gregory (chair of the Minnesota Optometric Association Children’s Vision Committee) will be offering no cost eye exams to 4 and 5 year olds that will be entering kindergarten this fall. This is a great opportunity to make sure your children are ready for learning with good sight!
Governor Dayton has declared August as Children’s Vision Month. The Minnesota Optometric Association (MOA) has named August 1, as Pre-K Eye Exam Day, a statewide effort that is part of its Good Sight for Kindergarten campaign. Participating MOA members around the state will offer one-time, no-cost eye exams to 5 -year olds entering kindergarten either on August 1 or another date and time.
